Every year, the Government of Quebec offers the public the opportunity to participate in a lottery for the allocation of vacation lots on public lands. This process is carried out in collaboration with delegated RCMs (Regional County Municipalities) and Sépaq. Here’s how you can participate in these lotteries

  1. Available Lots: The lots available for lease each cover an average area of 4,000 m2 and are mostly wooded, waterfront, and accessible by land. Participants can only rent or purchase one lot awarded by lottery per year.

  2. Registration for the Draw: The next registration period for the lottery will begin in September 2023. To participate in a lottery, you must:

    • Be 18 years of age or older;
    • Fill out a registration form on the Sépaq website. You can also register by calling 1 800 665-6527. Only one registration is allowed per draw code;
    • Pay the non-refundable registration fee of $34.49 ($30 + GST and QST) per draw code.
  3. Lottery Procedure: Sépaq conducts the lottery electronically in the days following the end of the registration period, under the supervision of an external auditor. Each participant will receive an email indicating their rank within 48 hours of the draw. This rank determines the order of lot allocation for the next stage.

  4. Allocation: A letter or email invitation will be sent to selected participants informing them of the location and date of the allocation. The presence of participants is required for the allocation of lots. The government reserves the right to withdraw any lot from the lottery up until the time of allocation.

If you need assistance regarding the lottery, you can contact the support service from Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. On Wednesday, the opening hours are from 10:00 am to noon and from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

By participating in these lotteries, you have the chance to obtain a vacation lot on public lands and enjoy the natural beauty of Quebec.
